PYM Brand Ambassadors
PYM Legend: Aaditya Singh
Aaditya SIngh, a PYM Brand Ambassador
"If I do a daily self-examination, he will keep his tiffin and water bottle in his bag himself."
Meet Aaditya from DPS Dubai, one of our youngest and most dedicated brand ambassadors. After losing his grandmother to cancer, Aaditya realized that "pester power" could be a life-saving tool. His mother, Veenu, recalls how he turned his own successes into bargains for her health: every time he scored full marks on a test, she had to commit to a checkup; every time he won a competition, she had to help spread the word that cancer is beatable if detected early.
Aaditya didn't just stop at pestering. He designed three posters, created a video for the PYM Design and Win contest, and won the competition with a dance performance. In an incredible act of 8-year-old selflessness, he donated his prize—two air tickets—to a chemotherapy patient. Later, upon winning the prestigious Hamdan Award, he donated the entire 36,000 DH prize to support another chemotherapy patient.
2020 Update: A Decade of Dedication
"I remember meeting Aaditya in 2011. He was the boy who convinced me that children could indeed protect their moms. In a culture where cancer is often a taboo subject or dismissed as fate, Aaditya broke the silence." — Premi Mathew, Founder
Aaditya has now been holding PYM events for over a decade. While he has gone on to win the Sheikh Hamdan Award twice and the Sharjah Excellence Award, his heart remains his greatest achievement—having donated a total of 60,000 DH to charity. He is a true PYM legend, and his story will remain on our site forever.
Protect Your Mom could not have become a global movement without the tireless support of our volunteers. From every corner of the world, these individuals proved that passion and creativity can save lives. We offer our deepest gratitude to everyone who organized, advocated, and stood with us.
