Cut-A-Thon Pre Press Note

Khenrab Yeedzin Syelden a 7 year old Bhutanese actress cut the hair of a donor and inaugurated the event. She had donated her hair earlier.

 Participants include 6 Bhutanese including a 7 year old actress who had donated her hair earlier and personally cut and inaugurated the global cut a thon from Bhutan

 Other countries included UAE, Australia, Srilanka , Singapore, Bangaldesh and bostwana etc.This is the third global cut a thon by Hair for hope india . Last time Mr Milind Soman cut and inaurgurated from Lonavala Pune.

For the first time perhaps in the world children and ladies pledged to make their moms check for the early signs of breast cancer. Awareness about self exams is very low and Protect your mom campaign the main campaign of which hair for hope india is a subsidiary aims to make the children pester their moms to check for early signs of breast cancer.  The campaign has already won several awards including from the President of India and has actually saved 5 lives .

This is probably the first such event on metaverse where viewers could watch any of the 25 events seamlessly thanks to the technology partner ibentos who volunteered for the campaign 

Over 475 donated their hair at 26 locations in India . The various events were held by clubs, NGOs and  Schools who have been supporting Hair for hope india for years. Notable among them are the Ladies Circle India, The Diya Foundation, Rotary Clubs etc.

25 teams from all over india and as far as Bhutan, Sri  Lanka ,Botswana are joining us today for the biggest ever birthday celebration as hair for hope india turns 11 today . This event is special for several reasons.

This is the first time donors will be able to give directly to a cancer patient. In fact at Bangalore , Bombay, chattisgarh , west Bengal wigs will be donated donated to cancer patients something the world has never see. I  don’t think there is anything more beautiful than to experience the tears  of joy in their eyes as cancer patients get a wig with your own hair .

‘I am a stage 2 cancer survivor 11 years ago I found a tiny little painless stone in my breast and my husband , a doctor said it is cancer.there was no pain and I could hardly feel it  but he inisisted on a biopsy and thanks to early detection and immediate treatment I am alive. I feel every mother deserves to be alive .400000 ladies die unnecessarily because they ignore the early signs like me .it is time we fought back and today I am proud to present teams from botswana, srilanka ,Bhutanetc  pledging to make their moms check for early signs and kill cancer before it kills
